BECKY NELSON

Becky graduated Northwestern University with a degree in Radio/TV/Film. Before Boom, Becky worked at The Second City, where she shot and edited short video content and founded the Second City Shorts film festival. She worked as a video director at Boom and also co-directed and edited Comedy Central News for Comedy Central Netherlands. After returning stateside, Becky moved herself and her tortoise to every corner of the country before finally settling in Portland, Oregon. These days Becky runs a one-person graphic design and illustration business, makes a zine for preschoolers called Teeny Zeeny, “gentle parents”, and shreds on the banjo. She lives with her husband Harry, 4-year-old daughter Eva, Crackers the dog, and that same old tortoise. Her Wordle streak is 180 days and counting.
